新潟県燕三条では、金属加工の伝統とともに木工業もその技術と感性を磨いてきました。
金属と木材が響き合うデザインは、暮らしに品格と温もりをもたらします。
使用している木材は、特定の樹種に限られたものではありません。かつて木材を運ぶための台座として使われ、役目を終えた木を再び活かしています。そのため、木目や色合いにもそれぞれ個性があり、同じものはひとつとしてありません。一度はその使命を終えた木が、今度は人の暮らしを彩る道具として新たな役割を担う。過去の痕跡は姿を変え、循環の中で生まれる美しさを形にしています。
